Starting this week, you have a chance to dream of warmer weather here in Minnesota amidst the snow, frigid air and frosted windshields. The Progressive Insurance Minneapolis Boat Show kicks off at the Minneapolis Convention Center this Thursday (January 24, 2019) and runs through Sunday (January 27, 2019).
If you’ve never been to the Minneapolis Boat Show before, here’s what you can typically expect:
- Loads of exhibitors including a large variety of boats, docks, boat lifts, jet skis, and more.
- Fun features for the family including a free “Discover a Boat” activity for kids
- “Twin Cities Beach Blast” which showcases past winners of the Milk Carton Boat Races and Sandcastle Competition. At the same time, children are invited to construct a boat out of milk cartons or build a sand sculpture.
- Vintage boat display (this year it’s a 1940 23′ Chris-Craft Custom Runabout – one of only about 31 built)
- Seminars and demos, plus loads more.
If you’re a Minnesotan that loves to go to the lake in the summer, this is the place to be. We’re planning on taking the family and making it a fun little weekend event!
