When I first started my partnership with NOW Foods, I was super pumped to start using their essential oils. We first got a little taste of them when we did a little ‘make and take’ for foot soak and disinfecting spray on my trip to their headquarters in Chicago (you can see that post here in case you missed it).
Anyways, every time that I’ve gotten a chance to try out some of their new products, I’ve requested their essential oils and oil diffusers. I am now the proud owner of four of their essential oil diffusers (because I absolutely love them) and I’ve been slowly collecting all of their oils and blends as well.
Today I wanted to talk about how to make your home smell like Christmas by using your oil diffuser and essential oils. Because we usually put up a fake Christmas tree (mostly for money-saving purposes, and not-having-to-water-the-tree purposes) our house doesn’t really have that holiday smell that I would like it to. So I did some research on how to concoct the yummy smell of Christmas by using essential oils.
I was surprised at how many ‘recipes’ I found for oil blends. There were ones that utilized some essential oils that I wouldn’t have typically label ‘Christmasy’ but to my surprise, they worked pretty wonderfully! My husband even walked into the kitchen and said, “What’s in the diffuser today? It smells amazing!”
When I first started my attempts at mixing together some good-smelling oils, I mostly just opted for going with a few drops of balsam fir needle and leaving it at that. Lame! You need to get creative and mix and match, trust me on this one.
So without further talking your ear off, I wanted to share some noteworthy Christmas essential oil recipes/blends to try in your diffuser this winter. And of course, if you have a concoction of your own, be sure to leave a comment at the end and share because I’m always up for trying new ones!

My Favorite Calm & Relaxing Oil BlendK
As a side note, my absolute favorite oil from NOW is their Peace & Harmony blend. It combines Peppermint Oil, Patchouli Oil, Orange Oil, Lavender Oil, Basil Oil to make just a really relaxing smelling blend.
I mention this one because the stress of the holidays can be a lot sometimes and if you’re anything like me, you can use a few ideas to destress your home. This one is an awesome way to do just that.
Some more peaceful and calming blends include:

There you have it! The perfect recipe book for your holiday season. If you decide that you really like a blend/recipe mentioned above, you might also like it in a hot bubble bath too. Me and my daughter have been having fun making our own bath bombs and it’s SUPER easy, plus they make your bath smell amazing and the ingredients can help to soothe and detox your skin as well. It’s a win-win.
Here’s the DIY bath bomb recipe we’ve been using that we really like. I use an ice cube tray and pack them into there and then let them dry for a couple days, then pop them out and store them in a mason jar in the bathroom. And if you’re really feeling creative, like I was one day, we even popped some small shopkins into a few of them for when my daughter takes a bath and wants a fun surprise as the bath bomb ‘melts’. She loved that!
If you want to get fancier than my ice cube tray bath shapes, you can also find bath bomb molds on Amazon for pretty inexpensive. Bath bombs make great handmade Christmas gifts too if you’re feeling crafty!
Happy holidays 🙂
