It seems like I’m always looking for my cooking spray while I’m cooking or baking. It is one of the staples that I keep in my kitchen for almost every cooking and baking task! Whether it’s for sauteing, grilling, or baking; I’m always using it. So when I got the opportunity to try out Pompeian’s Grapeseed Oil, I was intrigued to see how it would compare to what I’ve been using!
What is Grapeseed Oil?
Grapeseed Oil is an all-natural cooking oil that comes from delicate wine grapes. It has a light flavor and is known for it’s high smoke point which makes it the perfect spray for deep frying or stir-frying.
Pompeian imports 100% of its Grapeseed Oil from France. The oil is rich in Vitamin E, along with antioxidants as well. It is high in fluidity which reduces the amount of excess oil that might be absorbed into your food.
Cooking With Grapeseed Oil
I used Pompeian’s Grapeseed Oil to fry up some chicken bites for dinner tonight. After coating them in breadcrumbs, I sprayed a generous amount of Grapeseed oil into the frying pan and arranged the chicken. I was surprised at how fast the oil heated up and started sizzling away!
The smell of it all cooking made me instantly hungrier, isn’t that just how it goes?! I re-coated the pan a couple times to keep the meat juicy. I had to keep the heat a bit below medium because it really heated up nice and warm!
The flavor was really good and hubby even liked it! I’m excited to try it again with all kinds of different foods:
- Pancakes
- Steaks
- Pork Chops
- Eggs
- Skillet Cookies
- The list goes on!
