I have had close to zero time to make Christmas cookies this year. I don’t know where the time has gone but it hasn’t been on my side. In the meantime, Christmas is now 3 days away and I needed to spice up my cookie life. I was aware that I would still be short on time so I needed to make something fast and easy. I’d seen a few variations of using rolos and pretzels but I hadn’t tried it… yet.
So I wanted to share my mini-if-you-can-call-it-recipe with you. It will take you about 5-10 minutes deciding on how big of a batch you make. And TRUST me. They are SO yummy!
Ingredients:
- Checker pretzels
- 6-10 individual packs of Rolos (then you don’t have to unwrap them – even easier!!)
First, preheat your oven to 360°F. Then, on a couple ungreased cookie sheets, place checker pretzels with a rolo centered on top of each pretzel. Next put your cookie sheets in the oven for around 3 minutes. The rolo should be soft, not melted.
Once you take out your pans and put them on hot pads, take more checker pretzels and press them onto the top of your melted rolos, making a little pretzel, chocolate and caramel sandwich.
Once they’re cooled off, you may have to use a butter knife or metal spatula to gently pry them off the cookie sheet. Voila! You’ve got tasty little treats 🙂
Happy easy baking!!
Hearts,
Ruby
