I think it was this time last year that I was scrambling for easy appetizer recipes that I could bring to my aunt’s house for our family Christmas. I didn’t want to wait till the last minute, so I was scouring Pinterest for some good ideas. I ended up making little spinach and cheese cups that were kind of ‘meh’. This year, I’ve got a better strategy, and it’s going to be even easier than last year as well.
While shopping at my local Cub Foods store, I found these Simek’s meatballs in the frozen meat section. There was a variety of flavors and sizes, but we ultimately went with the Italian and Beef as well.
The meatballs are great! But I knew they would be, Simek’s is known for being a fast, easy and high-protein solution for family meals. I especially love that their products don’t contain any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Instead they’re prepared from high quality ingredients that I can be glad to feed to my family – and that’s huge for me!
So for this year’s appetizer, I decided to go with bacon-wrapped meatballs (seen in the photo at the top of this post), because in my experience, no one can turn down something that includes bacon!
