Recently on my TikTok page, I shared one of my absolute favorite healthy breakfast recipes. It is my warm apple pie overnight oats, and they are so stinking good that I wanted to share it here as well!
You really don’t need all of the ingredients in the video to make this delicious, although it definitely helps! I’ll list the ingredients below with a note on which ones are optional in the event you don’t have them on hand or just prefer not to include them.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats (or whatever type you have on-hand works as well)
- 1 cup milk of choice (I use Fairlife for the extra protein but you can use whatever you prefer!)
- 1 scoop protein (for this, I use Legion’s Cinnamon Cereal protein, but any vanilla or similar would work as well. If you order your protein from Legion, use promo code “SarahC” for 20% off – you’re welcome!!)
- 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon (to taste)
- a dash of sea salt
- 1/2 or full apple (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp chopped nuts of choice (optional)
Directions:
It’s really a very simple recipe. Grab yourself a small container with a lid. It works well if your container is microwaveable (I use something similar to these glass containers with lids) so that you can warm up your oats the next day for the best tasting oats ever.
- Stir together all dry ingredients (oats, protein powder, chia seeds, cinnamon and salt).
- Add in milk until it covers the dry oat mixture and mix well. It should coat the oats thoroughly and then some extra for soaking up overnight.
- Top the mixture with a honey drizzle and place lid on the container, pop into the fridge overnight.
- In the morning (or afternoon), remove the lid and place your oats in the microwave for 30 second increments. Stirring after each 30 second timer.
- While the oats are warming, chop up your apple into small bite-size pieces. (I use my vegetable chopper for this, it works really well!)
- I usually warm my oats for about 1 minute by themselves, then stir in the apple pieces and heat for another 30-60 seconds.
- Once your oats are warmed to your desired temperature, give it a good stir and top with your chopped nuts if you’d like!
Voila! You’re ready to dive in. Now tell me these aren’t the best overnight oats you’ve ever tasted!
I hope you enjoy 🙂
Bon appétit,
Sarah
