This post is in partnership with adidas, however all opinions are my own.
Let’s be honest—wellness doesn’t always look like an hour-long workout, a perfect green smoothie, or a spa day (though I’m never one to turn that down). Around here, it looks a lot more like movement in bursts, coffee in hand, and doing the best I can while juggling kids, work, and maybe a chicken or two.
Over time, I’ve found a handful of simple wellness habits that actually stick—not because they’re trendy, but because they fit into real life. No guilt, no extremes, just small things that make me feel a little more grounded and a lot more like myself.
Here are some of my go-to wellness habits that you can sneak into your day—no matter how busy life gets.
1. Morning Movement (Even if It’s 10 Minutes)
Sometimes I get in a full workout. Other days, it’s a walk around the block or a quick bodyweight circuit while the kids eat breakfast. It’s less about being perfect and more about getting the blood flowing first thing—it changes the whole vibe of my day.
2. Prioritizing Protein and Hydration
I try to front-load my day with protein-rich meals (think: scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, or Greek yogurt with berries). I also keep a water bottle with me like it’s an extension of my arm. Staying fueled and hydrated makes everything else easier—mood, energy, focus, all of it.

3. Packing a Wellness-Ready Bag
One of my favorite tricks is keeping a “grab-and-go” backpack packed with a few wellness essentials: sneakers, a clean water bottle, sunscreen, a snack bar, and my journal. That way, I’m always ready for a spontaneous walk, park workout, or even a little solo time outside.
I love using a lightweight Adidas backpack for this—it’s comfortable, stylish, and fits everything without being bulky. Whether I’m heading to a fitness class or taking my girls to a park, it’s become one of my everyday staples.
4. Mental Clarity Moments
Whether it’s deep breaths in the school pickup line or writing down a few thoughts before bed, I try to create tiny pauses in my day. It helps me re-center and remind myself that I’m not just running through a to-do list—I’m living a life.
5. Prioritizing Sleep (as best I can)
This one’s a work in progress, but getting enough sleep makes every other wellness habit easier. I’ve started setting a bedtime reminder and turning off screens earlier. Even just dimming the lights and stretching before bed helps me wind down more easily.
Wellness Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated
The best part about these habits? They’re flexible. Some days they’re a 10, some days they’re a 2—but they’re always there to come back to. And that, to me, is the heart of sustainable wellness: giving yourself grace while staying committed to feeling your best.
What are some small wellness habits that make a big difference in your day? I’d love to hear your favorites.
Until next time,
Sarah
