Oh boy. Well the holidays somehow managed to come and go. Right now I feel like one of those cartoons where the character is just standing around, minding their own business when something/someone whizzes by at super-speed and the cartoon, as a result, gets spun in whirls of circles! That and tired. I mostly I feel tired.
Christmas always sneaks up on me, and before I know it, it’s back to work I go! How did that even work this year? We spent all weekend (plus Monday – Christmas Eve, and Tuesday – Christmas Day) running around, place to place. The house was a complete mess when we finally made it home around 10:30pm on Christmas Day. Then it was up and at ’em on Wednesday morning, time to work! I tell you, my eyes weren’t even working until at least 10am.
Hubby got me a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas, and some new winter boots (he got me Ugg winter lace-up boots but we returned them for Sorels) they are adorable, and tall, and warm! Just what I needed! 🙂 As for the Kitchenaid mixer, I told him that I would think about keeping it. Which is usually what I always tell him when he has spent way too much on a gift for me. I did it with my iPhone, the iPad, and now the mixer. We’ll see.
For now, the promise of Friday is what keeps me going. That and long naps after work!!
From who I’ve talked to, I’m not alone in the post-Christmas exhaustion spell. Can you relate? If so, have you got any tips on how to get past the no-good-very-bad-grogginess?
One more day til the weekend!
Hearts,
Sarah (Ruby)
