Can you guys even believe that it’s November already? The fact that we got snow here in Minnesota last night just blows my mind. I remember one year we didn’t even have snow for New Year’s Eve, let alone the beginning of November! But anyways, who’s keeping track. Boo.
I’ve been going a little crazy lately trying to get my blog on the right tracks because of some whopping news I got in October. The news was that once Christmas has come and gone, I will be out of a job. I’ve been with my current, full-time job for three years now (doing online marketing) and I guess business just hasn’t been as good as they hoped so they have to make some lay-offs. I completely understand, because there’s nothing else they can really do… but in my shoes, I’m a little nervous. Trying to scrape together ideas and business plans and such. I’d really love, love, love to run my blog full-time like many actually do. But right now, I don’t think I’m quite there. I’m working to get there though π So that’s gotta count for something!
Onto a happier note: we got a new couch! Is that pathetic that it was seriously the highlight of my week (and possibly month) so far? I’ve been dying to get a new sofa for over a year but hubby kept saying no, the one we have is fine. And it was. It was fine, but it was also quite old as it was a hand-me-down from far before we got married. The in-laws graciously passed it down to us and we were so thankful to have it! But years ran their course and here we are with a BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW SOFA. Sorry, I get a little excited.
I tried to take a few photos, and of course Luna the camera hog wouldn’t let me fully capture it. Anyways, if you look around her, you’ll see my new favorite thing.
And of course, the photos are kind of horrible but you can kinda see the gist of it. Oh and that blanket that doesn’t look as cool in pics as it does in real life? It is a super soft fuzzy blanket from the Threshold line at Target. I’m in love.
So about the title of this post, “November Has Come: Now What?” It’s really kind of a dynamic title, it stands for both my job situation, my blog and of course Minnesota weather. Who could even do all that in one post? This girl.
Well that’s all for right now. Watch for my next fun post because I’m sure it’ll be a goodie π
