I love anything that I find for free summer activities for kids, so when the information for this neat summer program for kids ages 3-10 came across my email, I had to share the details with you guys! Because of a few key words; free, educational, fun. What more could you ask for? Other than the many VBS camps this summer, this should be another event on your radar.

CAMP ARBOR 2018
WHAT: Camp Arbor 2018
Now in its 12th year, Camp Arbor is a free, fun and educational weekly morning camp for children ages 3-10 at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.
Camp Arbor consists of 7 Tuesday morning events, June 12 through July 24, held from 10:30-11:15am. Each event features:
- An interactive, educational activity for children.
- Complimentary face painting and snacks
- Special offers from participating stores and restaurants at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.
WHEN: Tuesday mornings, June 12-July 24 from 10:30- 11:15 a.m.
WHERE: Arbor Park, the central courtyard area next to the fountain at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, located off I-94/I-694 at Hemlock Lane in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
Camp Arbor Schedule for 2018
June 12: Decorate a Camp Arbor T-shirt*: The children will use fabric markers to create their very own shirt that they can wear each week.
June 19: Dance Party with Kidsdance! Don’t forget the kids’ dancing shoes! Kidsdance is an interactive DJ that plays the hits and gets kids on their feet!
June 26: Plant a flower presented by Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery www.lyndegreenhouse.com
July 3: Art Activity*: Color a patriotic visor! Each child will receive a visor to color with fabric markers.
July 10: The Teddy Bear Band: This popular local band plays developmentally appropriate children’s music with an emphasis on participation. The kids are a big part of the show. Don’t forget to bring your bear!! http://www.teddybearband.com
July 17: Our Feathered Friends: The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota will be on-site with live eagles, owls, hawks and falcons. This activity will entertain and educate. https://www.raptor.umn.edu/
July 24: Carnival Games: Kids will “step right up” and test their skills with fun games!

Thursday Night Entertainment
If mornings aren’t your thing but you’re looking for some evening entertainment around the area, I noticed that they also offer a really neat Summer Faire Concert Series which includes free music, face painting, shopping and more.
