I don’t know about your house, but at my house, we are pumped for the big football game coming up on February 2nd! This year, we’re cheering for Denver but we’re still a little disappointed that Minnesota didn’t make it… maybe someday! In the meantime, we wanted to make sure we are prepared for game time so we headed to Walmart to grab some easy football snacks.
Whenever hunger strikes during a football game, it usually becomes a silly discussion about whose turn it is to make something to eat quick during a commercial break. But let’s be honest, whatever you choose to make usually ends up taking way more time than a commercial break could give you. That is, until you discover the easy baking, minimal effort, DiGiorno pizza. Just preheat, throw it in the oven, and enjoy the game! When the buzzer goes off (on the oven, silly, not the game) you are all set to devour this delicious game time food! And let me tell you, it actually is delicious, that is not an over-statement!
With all that being said, I knew I wouldn’t have any problem convincing my husband to take DiGiorno home for a try as we watched playoffs. Let’s just say, he was completely on board and even picked out his favorite flavor – three meat! I choose four cheese, but there are plenty more options too; Rising Crust Pepperoni, Rising Crust Sausage, and Rising Crust Supreme.
The pizza is even at a rollback price at Walmart right now, so you can get them for only $4.50! This was an awesome deal, we scored these two pizzas for only $9 which is way cheaper than we would have paid for delivery pizza! Plus, we both got a whole pizza with our favorite toppings – instead of having to share and compromise… I’m not very good at sharing, or compromising! 🙂
Now, you should know that I am pretty picky when it comes to pizza. If it’s too greasy or unhealthy, I get a stomach ache and feel sick… so I try to stay away from anything like that. I was really pleasantly surprised then, when I made the DiGiorno pizza at home for the football game and it was very filling and I did not get sick at all. That made for such a great experience for me because my pizza selection right now is really slim because most do upset my stomach. So I was glad to explore the DiGiorno option and now I know that it agrees with me too!
Doesn’t that look delicious? That was my four cheese pizza, and it was soooo good! I ended up eating FOUR pieces! That’s half the pizza! And I didn’t even think I was that hungry. I guess it was just that good! And the best part was, I didn’t have to miss any of the game to make dinner.
I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to spend my game day with DiGiorno! What topping of pizza would you choose to make for game time? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts!

I love this pizza. Im the same way. If its greasy I end up feeling pretty icky afterwards. The price we pay sometimes for that take out food 🙁
Im rooting for Denver as well 🙂 one day MN will be in the superbowl, lets hope for next season. Hopefully the new coach will be good.

I love all kinds of pizza but I’ve been on a BBQ pizza kick lately. So, for my toppings I would choose: BBQ sauce, chicken, onions and cilantro! #client
