Sunscreen
Whether you’re going to the beach, hiking, or exploring a new city, sunscreen is a must-have. Make sure to bring a high SPF sunscreen that will protect you and your family from harmful UV rays. It’s also a good idea to bring a moisturizing sunscreen that will keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.
-
Swimsuits
If you’re going on a spring break trip to a warm destination, swimsuits are a must-have. Make sure to pack a few swimsuits for each family member, so you have a fresh one to wear every day. It’s also a good idea to bring cover-ups or rash guards to protect your skin from the sun.
If you’re anything like me, and like to buy a new swimsuit for vacation, I put together a collection of my favorite ‘not-your-average-mom swimsuits’ on my Amazon storefront.

Comfortable Shoes
No matter what activities you have planned, comfortable shoes are a must-have. Whether you’re walking around a theme park or exploring a new city, you don’t want your feet to be in pain. Pack comfortable walking shoes that are also stylish enough to wear with a variety of outfits.
My girls love kids Crocs because they’re comfortable and pretty versatile. My favorite footwear for traveling are either Birkenstocks or these Sanuk sandals which are cute but comfy at the same time.

Lightweight Clothing
Spring break is a great time to enjoy the warm weather, so make sure to pack lightweight clothing that will keep you cool and comfortable. Bring a mix of shorts, skirts, and casual dresses (I’ve linked my absolute fav casual dress here) that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
It’s also a good idea to pack a few lightweight jackets or sweaters for cooler evenings. These definitely came in handy on our stay in Florida last winter when nights got a little chilly.
-
Snacks
Whether you’re on a road trip or flying to your destination, snacks are a must-have for any mom. Pack healthy snacks like granola bars, fruit, and nuts to keep everyone satisfied throughout the day. It’s also a good idea to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your trip and never be left without water.
-
First Aid Kit
Accidents can happen, so it’s always a good idea to bring a first aid kit. Pack band-aids, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any other medications you or your family members may need. It’s also a good idea to bring insect repellent to protect against bug bites. If you don’t have time to pack your own, or just want something pre-made, this one on Amazon is perfect as it has all the things you need in a nice compact, waterproof (bright red) container.
-
Entertainment
Long car rides or flights can be boring, so make sure to bring entertainment for the whole family. Pack books, magazines, or tablets (including chargers) loaded with movies or TV shows. You can also bring card games or travel-sized board games for some family fun.
-
Camera
Spring break is a great time to make memories with your family, so make sure to bring a camera to capture those special moments. Whether it’s a digital camera or your smartphone, make sure you have a way to take photos and videos to look back on.
If you want to go back to the days of having disposable cameras (because, why not? They’re actually making a comeback…), you can find those on amazon now as well!
-
Travel Documents
Don’t forget to bring all your travel documents like passports, boarding passes, and hotel reservations. Keep them organized in a travel wallet or folder to make sure you have everything you need when you need it.
-
A Positive Attitude
Last but not least, bring a positive attitude! Spring break is a time to relax and enjoy time with your family, so don’t let little mishaps ruin your trip. Embrace the adventure and enjoy the time you have together.
In conclusion, packing for a spring break trip can be overwhelming, but with these essential items, you’ll be prepared for any adventure. Don’t forget to pack sunscreen, swimsuits, comfortable shoes, lightweight clothing, snacks, a first aid kit, entertainment, a camera, travel documents, and a positive attitude. With these items, you’ll be ready for a fun and stress-free spring
