I love being able to check out new restaurants around the Twin Cities, and we love dining out as a family too, so when The Patty Wagon in Minneapolis offered to host us to check out their place, how could I ever say no? I’ve heard some great things about their burgers but we had never been there! So it was time to check it out.
First things first, The Patty Wagon is “technically” located in Minneapolis though it is basically Richfield area, so factor that in when you are planning your route. We went down there last weekend for an early dinner before we went to Frozen on Ice, and it was the perfect meal before going to the show.
In case you’re going to Google maps right now to see how far you are from it and if you can still make it there yet today, the address is:
The Patty Wagon
6042 Nicollet Avenue
Minneapolis, MN 55419
They have a really cool place there, it’s almost like a neat “garage-themed” restaurant with a casual dining atmosphere. We got there about 4:30-5:00pm on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of space for us to get seated right away, which is always nice when you have a toddler with you!
They also have a full bar, you know, in case you have a toddler with you. (haha, I joke, but we all know it’s true) And like I said, they are known for their amazing burgers and they have quite the lineup when it comes to their burger menu. I ordered the Black Maria which is like a Juicy Lucy (your burger has delicious melted cheese in the middle). My husband went with the Bacon Cheddar Burger with an egg on the top and enjoyed every bite!
We also had to try out their loaded tater tots as an appetizer because we went in there pretty hungry and naturally carbs are the way to cure that real fast! They were AH-mazing… covered in cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and chives, we would definitely order those again!
This place checked off several boxes on our dining checklist:
- fast service
- delicious food
- quick seating
- family friendly
Plus, the ability to order drinks always helps when parents are bringing their kids out to eat. Just sayin.
Have you tried The Patty Wagon yet? I’d love to hear more thoughts on what you guys have tried and what I will have to try next time we go! Leave a comment below and share your feedback.
Til next time,
Sarah
