So I was on Pinterest (of course) a while back and I came across a really cute DIY bucket list board! Now the hubs and I have a bucket list typed up somewhere and to be honest, I’m not sure where it actually ended up. Sooo, I loved this idea so much, and it was just so cute, I just had to make it!
Side note: I could not trace back where this idea actually came from so if you know, please let me know so I can give them credit for this brilliant idea!!
Update! I found this is the pinner who had the original idea! She’s brilliant π
Now, when it came to doing it myself, here’s how it went.
First off, I had to find the ‘ingredients’ to make the bucket list, so I first took to the dollar store. Here I found the clothespins ($1). I found the mini-bucket at Micheal’s for under $2. The frame is from Goodwill, it was a really ugly picture, but luckily I didn’t need the picture – just the frame. So I got the frame for somewhere between $2-3 and it really is a nice frame! And big too – which was the biggest thing to me. Lastly, I had the string/rope laying around so that was free. It was probably left over from some other project, who knows. So I’m thinking the total for this adorable project was right around $5. Perfecto!
So, once I had all the supplies, it was time to get down and dirty. I pulled out the picture and the cardboard so that it was just the frame. From there I took the string and criss-crossed it on the back. I used a hot glue gun to hold the rope in place on the frame, but if I had a staple gun laying around, I would have much rather used that. No such luck – but it turned out just fine!
Once that was all strung, I hot glued the mini-bucket to the front of the frame, filled it with clothes pins, a pen and a post-it pad. Voila! Project complete and it took me probably less than a half hour. Gotta love that!
Now I just have to get hubby to help me fill it up with our hopes and dreams π hehe
Until next time!
Hearts,
Sarah
