Today I want to talk about your makeup process. For me, sometimes I get lazy (I’ll be honest) and I’ll throw on my foundation without using a moisturizer or primer. Then for the rest of the day, I regret skipping the few seconds it would have taken me because after a few hours, my makeup is all creased (or gone, or smeared…) So I try not to skip that step anymore, because it’s worth the extra few seconds to include it. Does that sound familiar?
Well consider that step simplified even more. The new moisturizer from Olay, called Olay Whips, absorbs instantly (so you don’t have to worry about drying time – because who has time for drying time?) and not only that but it helps to absorb oils from your skin throughout the day so that you don’t get that beautiful 1:00pm oily look. And the best part of all, it is the “no primer primer”, so it leaves your skin velvety smooth without the extra step of adding in a primer. Serious time saver.
Most recent, I tried out Olay Luminous Whips moisturizer from Ulta. It has a nice, sweet smell and it goes on ultra-smooth which is a nice feeling first thing in the morning. The ‘whipped’ texture of this moisturizer reminds me of chocolate mousse, it’s that lightweight type of feel that helps to minimize the appearance of pores and even out your skin tone. The big selling point for me though is that it gives the moisture without looking shiny — ain’t nobody got time for that!
I always find that in the winter, my skin gets so dry and flaky. Not only that, but it gets a kind of ‘dull’ appearance. I don’t know if it’s the lack of sunshine or if it’s that dry weather here in Minnesota (or a combination of the two, which is probably the likely answer!) But it gets old quick! So it’s always nice to find a solution and give your skin that much-needed hydration when it needs it most.
You can find Olay Whips at Ulta, or get more details about it here!
Until next time,
Sarah
