I don’t know about you but I love keeping up with the latest technology, and even more so when it comes to new technology advances in vehicles. It’s always cool to see what they’ve come out with next to make our lives easier or really just cooler. I talked to our friends at this Stockton Chrysler dealer to see what was on the horizon for 2019. Here’s what we found out!
Steering Avoidance
You know those times when a deer runs out into the road or someone stops in front of you and you don’t have time to come to a complete stop? This is where the steering avoidance feature comes into play. It helps to prevent collisions by automatically swerving for you.
Wireless Charging
It’s amazing to not have a bunch of cords cluttering your console. These new wireless charging spaces are designed to look like a normal vehicle console area but when you put your devices on them, they charge! No cords needed.
Multi-Angle Surround View Cameras
I think these are one of the coolest features out right now. You’re able to see your vehicle from a birds-eye view in order to see how close you are from objects around you. My husband loves this feature on his truck, because you’re able to see if you’re in the lines while parking, close to the front of the garage when you pull in, etc.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Possibly my own personal favorite technology advance in new vehicles, adaptive cruise control allows you to set your ideal speed on cruise control and if a vehicle slows or cuts in front of you, it adapts to that vehicle’s speed automatically. I love this for when you’re following traffic that is moving along but unpredictable.
Apps and Bluetooth
Vehicles now days can be started from your smart watch or smartphone. Amazing isn’t it? Just sync up your vehicle with your manufacturer’s app and you can lock, unlock, start or stop your vehicle all at the touch of a button.
There are so many new features coming out on our favorite vehicles this year. Which advancement in technology is your favorite? Which ones did I miss? Leave a comment below!
