This post is part of a sponsored series, all thoughts are mine.
Last year we were shopping for a new truck for my husband. He had a Chevrolet Silverado and just wanted to update his ride more with newer technology and features. We visited several dealerships, drove a few and learned a lot! After touching base with out friends at this Texas Dodge dealer, we got some answers to our most important questions.
Comparing Leg Room
First let’s compare the top contenders and see how they stack up. Now I’m comparing 2019 models as that’s what is most current right now, so if you are looking at used vehicles be sure to check on those details similarly.
2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab has 45.2″ of rear legroom
2019 GMC Sierra (Regular Cab) has 44.5″ of rear legroom
2019 Chevrolet Silverado has 43.8″ of rear legroom
2019 Ford F-150 SuperCrew has 43.6″ of rear legroom
Now you might be asking why that is the detail that I chose to focus the most on when it comes to choosing a pickup truck with room for kids. But if you have kids, you’re probably not wondering – you’ve been there. We’ve all tried to fit car seats and kids into that back seat only for it to be too tight for the kids, too cramped for your front seats to sit back all the way, and ultimately just an uncomfortable ride for everyone involved.
That’s why I wanted to focus on which pickup has the most rear legroom. Makes sense, right? As you can see from the specs above, the Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab came in first with 45.2″ of rear legroom. This was a big improvement they made from the 2018 models and I think it’s going to be a hit for dads everywhere.
Where To Go From Here
Of course now that you know which pickup truck is most spacious for your kids, next you’ll just need to see how your top picks compare for safety, fuel economy, cargo space and ease of entry. But we tackled the most important topic for you today!
