I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been there. We jump in the car every day, grabbing a bunch of items and taking them with us. When we return home, a lot of those items stay in the car, only to get buried by the next weeks of new items. What can be a game changer for most people when it comes to a full and messy car, is a few easy storage solutions. Here are a few ideas to consider in your vehicle to help tame the mess.
Trunk Organizer – If you need the items in your car on an everyday basis, but don’t want them hanging around on your seats and floors, this West Virginia Dodge dealer recommends a trunk organizer. These are usually long, open totes that are sorted into compartments which allow you to store things out-of-sight, but still easily accessible. This is a great place to store things like sunscreen, bug spray, a spare blanket, or that type of thing in the summer. Or your ice scraper, blanket, extra mittens, hats, etc. in the winter.
Back of Seat Organizer – If you have kids, then you likely have even more of a mess (am I right?) These organizers that hang on the back of your seat work wonders for containing kids’ messes. They have spots for all their toys, drinks, garbage and even an iPad if you want. They’re genius!
Garbage Bag – Let’s be honest, is half of your mess trash? Whether it’s from a quick drive-thru stop, a few empty coffee cups, old work or school papers, you know how it goes. Find a small garbage bag that attaches to your car to make cleaning up a snap. It’s amazing what a little bit of designation can do for messes.
Vent or Dash Caddy – These little tiny storage bins clip to your vent or stick to your dashboard to give you a little spot for all your little items that usually roll around and eventually get lost. It’s a great spot for your phone, lip balms, spare change, gum, hair ties or anything else you find yourself hanging looking for down the cracks of your seat.
Back Seat Tote – The infamous back seat tote has saved me many times. It’s just a simple square tote with a lid that I use to store things like umbrellas, a first aid kit, extra diapers and wipes, and a couple extra snacks just in case. Basically anything you can see yourself needing in the spur of the moment, this is a great place to hold it!
