As soon as I got my first smartphone, I was completely intrigued by the app possibilities. It seems like whatever you need, there is an app for that. So after talking to the folks at the Michigan Dodge dealer, we put together a list of smartphone apps for drivers that are huge game-changers. If you spot one on this list you don’t currently have, check it out and leave a comment at the bottom of the article with your thoughts!
Waze
If you’re worried about traffic, accidents, or just the general commute ahead of you then you will love the Waze app. It shows your route options, typical commute time, any delays along the way and allows you to see updates on all of the above in realtime. I use this app all the time and love how helpful it is.
RepairPal
If you don’t have a trusted mechanic, this app is for you. You can get an idea of pricing, mechanic reviews and more.
Parkify
This one goes out to my husband who takes a picture of his ramp name and lot number when he leaves his vehicle in big places (airports, malls, etc.). It’s a smart way to remember, but this app is easier and doesn’t require any effort. It actually tracks when you leave your vehicle and remembers where you parked for you.
DriveSafe.ly
If one of your New Year’s goals was to cut down on phone distractions, this app is going to be great for you. Without touching your phone, it has the ability to read messages and emails and respond, all while remaining hands-free.
GasBuddy
Do yourself a favor and download this app to save money on gas every time you need to fill up. It displays real-time gas prices around you so that you can always ensure you’re filling up for the lowest price around.
These apps are some of my favorites. Which driving apps do you swear by? Leave a comment below!
