Growing up in the auto industry, I was well aware of all the things you should have in your vehicle just-in-case. I learned the importance of being prepared, because you never know when something might happen.

Here are 10 items to consider having in your vehicle:

1. Toolkit
2. Tire pressure gauge
3. Spare tire
4. Spare jacket/coat/mittens/hat
5. Insurance card/registration papers
6. Towel
7. Jumper cables
8. (Optional) I carry an extra diaper and wipes, just in case!
9. Phone charger
10. Boots (in the winter)
