So you have a growing family. It’s exciting, and maybe a bit chaotic at times, sure. But most importantly it’s your family. And more often than not, you are probably traveling a variety of places together; to sporting events, school, concerts, practices, holidays, vacations, the list could go on and on. So which vehicles are known for accommodating the largest of families? Our Maryland Dodge dealer helped us create a list for you to check out.
Honda Odyssey – As mentioned in my minivan guide, the Odyssey is a favorite among moms. It drives smooth seats up to 8 people, and offers many perks such as a built-in vacuum, and even child-seat accommodations.
Volvo XC90 – This crossover SUV has all the bells and whistles along with the room and space to accommodate large families with it’s third row seating. However, even though the size of the vehicle has been criticized by Consumer Reports, it remains an option if you want to seat the whole family without purchasing a large vehicle.
Cadillac Escalade – If your family is always on-the-go and you find yourselves needing technology, then the Escalade is sure to be the vehicle for you. The new models even offer in-car wi-fi, Apple Car Play, and even tri-zone climate control. Beyond that, you can fit up to 8 people.
Toyota Highlander Hybrid – This comfortable vehicle sits up to 7 people, and as a hybrid, gets great gas mileage (up to 28mpg highway). It also comes with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) if you’re in colder climates like myself, that is an important factor!
Chevrolet Traverse – One vehicle that has caught my eye these last couple years is the Chevy Traverse. It has a sleek design, fits up to 8 people, and a good amount of cargo space in the rear. As an added bonus, it’s available in front wheel drive, and AWD. I think we both know which I’d choose.
When it comes to having a large family, having the space to accommodate can make all the difference. I hope these suggestions help make your family more comfortable in your next ride!
