I received a gift card to shop and explore the back to school deals for this feature. All opinions are mine.
Last week, my daughter and I ventured out to the Albertville Premium Outlets to start shopping for back-to-school clothes. This will be her first year of preschool so I debated starting the day off with some blubbering in the bathroom. But I sucked it up, for now.
The Albertville Outlets are my favorite to shop, because they have stores for her, stores for me, and everything in between. That day, we made a lot of different stops (we spent 3 hours there!) and covered some ground. We also found some really cute back-to-school fashions and came home with some great items for her to start school with in a few weeks.
American Eagle
First we started off at American Eagle, just to take a look around and see what they have. This is one of the newer stores they’ve added at Albertville and I hadn’t actually been in there yet. The store itself is huge! And they had loads of options, including tons of denim for both men/women, plus a lot of cute flannels, sweaters, and trendy tops (per usual of American Eagle!) Plus of course some great deals on it all, which is always helpful when you have a budget while shopping for your kids school clothes.
Lululemon Athletica
My personal favorite store for me, and my daughter loves their ivivva line, is Lululemon. I swear this is all I live in from day to day because it’s so comfortable, breathable and it just fits so nice. The store there has a great lineup of items ranging from little girls (for the ivivva brand) and sizes 2-12 for women, plus mens clothing too!
Gymboree and Osh Kosh
If you have little ones starting preschool like me, you probably would love to hear about their stores for these guys too. I love stopping into Gymboree and Osh Kosh to check out their sales. Sometimes you can get lucky and find some great doorbusters depending on the season and timing! When we stopped that day, they had some great sales on shoes and boots at Osh Kosh and Gymboree had some really cute dresses for back-to-school time.
The North Face
I really love shopping this store lately because it seems like such a steal when you find things. This day, they had some amazing deals on zip ups and sweatshirts. Plus they were running a 60% off the lowest ticket price sale too, which meant you could find leggings and tanks for $10-15. See what I mean? Plus, outerwear like coats and snow pants were also 50% off and those are some really nice and warm coats! I know it might seem a little warm to talk about that, but we live in Minnesota and really is winter ever not just around the corner?
Justice
I know fellow girl mamas would appreciate the mention of this one. We love shopping at Justice, she just loves the clothing there and they have just some really cute stuff. Plus, finding an outlet for this store is a score in itself! Am I right?
Kate Spade New York
Another awesome store that I love to go into, is Kate Spade. You can always find good sales on high end bags, accessories and clothing. Not to mention, the quality on these will last and last. The day that we visited, they were having 60% off bags and totes plus little wallets and coin purses were on sale as well.
< Break for Lunch! >
I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m shopping, I get hungry. It takes a lot out of a girl I guess! Plus, snacks are always a necessity when doing anything with kids so there’s that. Luckily you have options when you’re out shopping here at the mall. There is plenty of food stops to pop into including:
- Burger King
- Subway
- Five Guys Burgers
- TCBY
- Starbucks
Okay, I probably should have put Starbucks first. That is usually the one that stops moms in their tracks!
And, time to get back to shopping!
Old Navy
Our last stop that we made was to Old Navy which is another one of my favorite stores to shop at the Albertville Outlets. They always seem to have a sale going on that beats prices at any other store I visit. Plus, their stuff is CUTE and they have stuff for men, women, girls, boys and babies all in one spot which is time saving as well. The store itself is ginormous so the selection is pretty good as well!
The day we visited, they had leggings for my daughter for $4 each! I grabbed about 5 pairs, because she can never get enough of those! They also had tons of cute dresses for little girls, and uniform essentials too for both girls and boys (including khaki shirts, pants, polos, etc.)
Of course, there are loads more stores that we didn’t make it to that day, but are totally worth checking out. If we had more time (and more attention span from her) we would have also gone to Nike, Under Armour, Crocs, and Children’s Place. But we will have to save those for another day!
